Cyber Crop Blog Challenge

Oh my goodness. It has been ages since I posted. Not that I haven't been busy working on challenges for AD.

It is Cybercrop night tonight and we are doing a blog challenge.

For this challenge we need to come up with ONE criteria, do a sample and post it on our blog on CC day/night.

Then over the course of the following week we will need to visit all the registered players blogs to collect all the criteria (as well as the criteria thread for the non bloggers criterias).
With all the criteria gathered, we then put our LO together - What fun eh?

MY CRITERIA IS:......
Stamp an image onto acetate using acrylic paint, cut around it & use it on your layout.

This is the Father's Day Card I made up for my dear Dad using the Kaiser Secret Bird Society Collection.

Blind Scrap - August

The lovely Toni put us through our paces for the blind scrap this month. It is always amazing to see how differently we all interpret the instructions. Here is my take on this month's blind scrap.

August Cyber Crop - We're going places....

Another fun night was had by all. Loads of fun & games as well as lots of fantastic challenges set by our fabulous DT. Our lone male member also set us a challenge this month - a photographic challenge of an animal or insect.

For Terri's challenge we had to create a LO on a Travel Tradition using
1. a map somewhere somehow on your LO
2. metal embellishment
3. some journalling

Kym set us another fabulous sketch this month.

The lovel Megan set us a recipe challenge - a LO using the following ingredients:
fabric, buttons, rubons, stamps, chipboard and lace.We also had to include photo/photos of our travels!

For Marie's challenge we had to use:
1 - A photo of friends
2 - Shades of blue, Green and can use black white cream or craft
3 - A cut out black silhoutte image
4 - A map

For the 30 minute challenge we had to make a Travel Embellished Journal tag and have it uploaded in 30 mins. This then had to be used on one of our challenge LO's.

August Mid-Month Mystery Challenge

This month all the DT's ganged up on us, each having some input into the criteria:

This is a 2 part challenge :

Part ONE
So get counting girls - every individual stamp ...
A rak for the person with most stamps
A rak for the person with the least Stamps

Part TWO
And a LO stamp orientated ..Criteria as Follows No swaps allowed must be all your own work

Terri - alter an embellishment by stamping on it
Toni - use at least one stamp in the title
Kym - make a stamped journal block
Megan - use masking technique
Marie - One of your PP has to be a stamped background made by you ..

I have managed to amass a whopping 1091 stamps (including individual alphabet stamps) but was not the one with the most so did not feel so bad after all. I won't mention who had the most Marie and Irene or who had the least Sim and Kym.

More August Challenges

This month Toni asked us to make a LO using CIRCLES - polka dots, a round shaped base, circle embellies etc etc.

For Terri's challenge we had to use the following:
1. Use a large portrait style photo 5x7 or larger
2. Journalling about your chosen subject - at this moment.
3. Chipboard title plus at least two other types of chippy embellishments eg stars, numbers or bookplates etc.
4. Use alcohol inks to colour your chippy embellishments. If you dont have alcohol inks use paint.
5. I want to see masking or stencilling.
6. Use a Cuttlebug or similar to emboss CS/PP or chipboard - if you dont have a CB add some texture with some textured/lace or flocked cardstock.

Kym set us another fantastic sketch challenge.

Relaxing Sunday

Well it's been a while since I last posted. Today was beautiful 22C - not bad for a winter's day. We took my dear Dad out for a picnic to Nobby's Beach on the Gold Coast. The weather was beautiful albeit a little windy. After a lovely picnic lunch we sat & watched the world go by - surf, sunshine, families swimming, bike riding & roller skating. It was very pleasant & relaxing sitting with the wind in our hair.

July Cyber Crop - Christmas in July

We had another fun night over at AD on 30th July. Lots of games & new challenges.

Toni's challenge - make a LO with NO DECORATIONS! Yep, that's right -- absolutely NO embellies at all. You can use as much patterned paper as you like, but it must be only cut into blocks or strips - no shapes, no flowers fashioned from paper, etc etc.
You CAN use whatever title you like, as big as you want.

Terri's card challenge - 4 Card Challenge using
2 x pp - double sided pp allowed, 50cms ribbon - one type only, minimum 15 buttons, rubons, bling, alphas, chipboard
Remember this is a use your stash challenge DO NOT open any new stuff!!

Megan's OTP challenge - an OTP decoration. It must be christmas themed and use a two toned colour scheme.

Megan's challenge - Create one layout. The rules are: you must only use
from your stash, no new stock!, plus you must include
distressing, inking, chipboard, punching and rubons.

Kym's challenge - Make a RED "Mono-chromatic" layout with a touch of GREEN using your stash, no new stuff allowed (except a cs base if you want!) Also make a handmade embellie with RED and GREEN, can have black and/or white as well!!!

Blind Scrap run by the lovely Kym.

More July Challenges

Terri gave us pieces of the puzzle - we had to use, leaves, flowers, scalloped edges, stitching (real or fake), rectangles and our own handwriting. I was very pleased with the way my cluster of cut work flowers & Prima Autumn leaves turned out.

The Scraplift

The Original:
Toni's challenge for July was to scraplift one of our own layouts - not as easy as you might think. It really made me look at the layouts I had done previously.

For Megan's challenge we had to create a card or a layout using the 'serviette technique'. I used a Domestic Goddess serviette & the cling wrap technique to adhere it to my card stock. It is featured in the lower right corner of the LO.

July Sketch Challenge

This is my take on the sketch challenge set by the lovely Kym over at Artistic Document. I have used a sequence of birthday photos of my son.

July Colour Challenge

This month's colour challenge - black, green, white and blue.

I have done another digi lo using 'Tag This collection from Kaiser.

Christmas in July

This is my embellishment for the Christmas in July swap we are having at Artistic Document.

Shaped ATC

Over at Art we are having a 'shaped' ATC swap. The card can be any shape at all as long as the measurements from point to point are 2.5in x 3.5in. This is my shaped ATC - birdhouse.

June Blind Scrap

This was a part of our June cyber crop. Blind scraps are so much fun.
I have used Kaiser Off Shore papers for this LO of my father & my husband overlooking the ocean at Point Danger.

June Cyber Crop

Last Friday we had another fantastic night of cyber cropping, fun & lots of games over at Artistic Document. The theme for the night was "Games". We played Bingo, had a treasure hunt, a guessing game & lucky numbers. Loads of laughs as usual. The challenges flowed.

Toni's challenge was based on the Game of Life.
-- use the word LIFE in your title
-- use a series of photos that show a progression
-- use either pink or blue as your main colour (you can use any other colours you like)
This is what I came up with. It is a digital LO using Kaiser Tag This papers. Here is my take on the challenge - my grandson learning to climb the equipment at the park.

Terri's challenge was based on Snakes and Ladders a game based on ups and downs!
1. at least 3 arrows - representing ups and downs
2. 6 squares - the maximum spaces that you can move
3. Number/s in the title
My grandson was fascinated with the stairs at the back of our house when he came to visit. he lives in a lowset home with no stairs.

Kym's challenge:
*take inspiration from a game or puzzle
(i have used puzzle pieces)
ie: scrabble (letters on blocks)
crossword puzzles
checkers (checkered pp)
playing cards, ETC!!!
*and/or use bits and pieces from an old
board game, etc...
*use three or more colours...
So for this one I used a large playing card that I had in my stash (thanks Marie it came in handy) and a photo of aone of the showgirls encountered on our trip to Las Vegas

Megan challenged us to remember -
So just how far back can you remember? Or what is your favourite memory as a child?
To complete the challenge you need to include pictures, or photos, journaling, distressing and inking - the last two can be optional!
My memories go way back to spending time at the Gold Coast where my grandparents lived. We spent weekends & holidays at their home.

June Challenges

Well I have managed to get a couple more of the June challenges done. Then we have Cybercrop on Friday night. Yay. Can't wait! We always have so much fun on these nights.

Terri's challenge was to to create a LO made using predominately patterened paper.
MINIMAL other embellishment are allowed. The title must be from PP also.

Marie set an inspirational challenge - an all white picture depicting and using the words 'a new leaf'. This is my inspired layout.

Just one more to go and that is Megan's challenge. I have started working on this one but just have to refine it a bit before sticking it down.

Queen's Birthday Weekend

I must apologise for being so slack of late.I have been snowed under with work. It's that time of the year again - student reporting. I have been off to several PD's in the last month and have another to go to next week. So it has been difficult to get everything done.
I have managed to do three LO's this week and am happy with the results. They all centre around the gorgeous grandbabies.

More April Challenges

Toni's challenge for us this month: use foliage, flowers & animals on it. They are to be the predominant theme - you can use whatever photo you like, one word title, some journalling. This was the day in 2002 that our daughter moved to Western Australia to commence her Vet career.

The delightful Terri set a toughie this month. She enjoys experimenting with great techniques. So her challenge to us this month was to create a shaped LO using a minimum of 25 squares measuring approx 3.5cms/1.5"
