(list as many as you like)

Toni's Challenge this month was a collection ...

We could do a LO, paper or digi, or you can do an OTP -- just showing something you collect, or that someone has collected for you.

There MUST be some journalling to describe the collection, what it means to you, where the pieces have come from, etc.

Kym set us another sketch to work with.
And also a colour challenge: I made another page about Dinosaurs. The colours were pink, green, brown & cream.

Kym's Sketch Challenge:

Toni challenged us to make a teacup using one of the templates found at the following URL's

March Challenges at Jellybeans.

Ann set us another card challenge this month.
The main feature on the card had to be a stamp. Then we had to colour on the stamp using any of these: Distress inks
          Copic's
          Pencils
          Acrylics
          Pastels

Or in other words any colouring medium !!!

Kym's colour challenge involved a yummy plate of macaroons - strawberry, chocolate & vanilla. We had to use those colours on our layout.

Kym also presented us with another beautiful sketch to work from. I had been to my High School Reunion so decided to scrap the event.

2013 Begins

New year's Day saw us heading down to a local park so that Alistair could fly the remote controlled helicopter he received for Christmas. We had just got out of the car & were heading to the picnic table when I stepped into a hole covered with long grass and finished up on the ground. The result of this was a broken foot.

Kay and I spent the afternoon at the Fremantle hospital where I had X-rays taken to ensure the ankle wasn't broken. Results showed a break above the little toe.
This made for a very uncomfortable but speedy return drive to Queensland followed by a visit to the local doctor the day after we arrived home.

I got the all clear from the Oncologist to go back to work on a graduated return so began working 2 days a week. I was extremely tired & wondered if this was the right course to take. However after consulting with the Oncologist, a change of medication was made from Femara to the good old Tamoxifen. After a few weeks I was feeling heaps better and had lots more energy.

In March I signed up for Weight Watchers on line to try to lose the 10kg I had gained since my surgery. I am still going strong and to date have lost 7.7kg. Still a ways to go as I need to lose another 10kg before cruising the South Pacific in March.

I have still been doing some scrapbooking but just don't seem to have the mojo for paper scrapping at the moment. I have done several of the challenges on Jellybeans - some paper & some digital.

Catch-up of 2012 activities.

It has been 14 months since my last blog update. During that time I have been dealing with some health issues. On 28 June, 2012 I was diagnosed with breast cancer so have been dealing with surgery and chemotherapy. All good now - the hair has regrown and the body is getting back to normal.
This is my first chemo treatment on 6 August.

A couple of weeks later the family arrived from Western Australia. Although it was not good timing as I was in hospital with an infection, the trip had been planned since early in the year. We were able to celebrate Rhys's 3rd birthday and an early birthday for Alistair while they were here. These photos were taken on the day they were leaving to go home.

In December we set off on an adventure to celebrate Christmas in the west with the family. The boys didn't mind the fact that Grandma still had no hair.

During the period of my recovery from surgery and my treatment I managed to participate in a few challenges at Jellybean Scrappers. In October we had a Halloween Cyber Crop. I put my lack of hair to good use. We had to dress up for Halloween so what better character than Uncle Fester.

During July we had a Blind Scrap:
 A Colour Challenge:

A Digi Challenge:

and a Sketch Challenge:

In September our fearless leader set us the challenge to do a double layout Using multiple photos but with one as a standout:

And Kym set us another beautiful Sketch:

In November I worked on four challenges. For the Sketch Challenge I created a double layout of a fun morning prior to my surgery and treatment. The program is called Look Good, Feel Better & is aimed at making cancer patients comfortable with their appearance through the use of make-up, wigs/turbans. My gorgeous friend Kym from Jellybeans came with me for the morning and took a few happy snaps.

And then there was Toni's Challenge:

Ann's Card Challenge:

and the Colour Challenge:

And that is pretty much a wrap-up of my scrapping for 2012.
